Joel Philippsen is an award winning photojournalist based in Columbus, Indiana. His work has appeared in several major news organizations across the United States including The Associated Press, MSNBC, Los Angeles Times and ABC News.
He graduated from Ball State University with a degree in photojournalism and has worked as the Chief Photographer at The Herald-Press in Huntington, Indiana. Currently he is a staff photographer at The Republic in Columbus, Indiana and teaches photojournalism at Ivy Tech Community College as an adjunct instructor.
